Classic Game Room HD reviews BATTLETECH for the Sega Genesis from 1994. Control a giant mech and crush enemies, shoot them with laser beams and destroy buildings. Sounds like a winner! The game is pretty good but would definitely benefit from dual thumbsticks, dual d-pads or dual joysticks because while you can walk in one direction and shoot in another the controls are awkward. One d-pad is one d-pad too little. The game is a tactical action game where players complete objectives in five different environments from a ¾ view top-down perspective. This CGR review shows gameplay from Battletech on Sega Genesis with video showing game play from Battletech in action. On the Sega Mega Drive (aka the Genesis) Battletech is a good looking game where the mech is well animated and cool looking. Reminds me of the Jenner / Locust from Mechwarrior, which is in the same family as this game, the Battletech universe! While this game is not related to Robotech some of the enemy mechs look surprisingly similar to Veritech Fighters or Jetfire from Transformers. Machine gunning enemies and laying waste to the enemy forces is always entertaining and the game has a password system so that you can save your game after a successful mission and return to it later. Of particular note is the uber-sexy computer voice in the game that reminds you of when you are about to overheat and explode. [Update] Tweaked the sensitivity and played a few more rounds of MW3 and I'm 10x the player I was without it. This thing works flawlessly, for a few minutes I didn't even think I was playing on XBOX :) Like a lot of people I simply suck at playing games with a controller. I'm a keyboard and mouse man! A quick review of the PS3 Digital Arcade Stick from Blaze. I wasn't able to find any reviews of the product online before I purchased one, but at the price tag that www.superufo.com had them at I was hard pressed to pass on picking up a pair. So as a public service to the PS3 (and PC) gaming communities, here's a quick review so you can see the item in the flesh and in action.

This is a playthrough of "Onimusha 3 - Demon Siege", the PC version. It is basically similar to the PS2 version, maybe too similar to the point that the PS2 controller references are still there. The keyboard control layout cannot be changed, even if the option menu aparently allows, and by the way, it is a mess. Hopefully, the game accepted my Xbox 360 controller, using a similar buttom layout to the PS2 version, with the lack of a Onimusha Mode buttom and a turn-around buttom, which I corrected with the use of JoyToKey (keyboard emulator for joysticks). Overall, I was quite impressed with the performance of the game in this netbook, as it has some of the prettyiest graphics of the PS2 era. --- My netbook specs are: Acer Aspire One 532h Atom N450 1.66 GHz Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 LED LCD display 10.1'', native resolution of 1024x600 2 GB RAM DDR2 250GB HDD 6-cell battery (5-6 hours on medium brightness) --- I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate with Aero-Glass (it works fine here) I'm also using FRAPS to display the Frames-Per-Second (FPS) count of the game on the upper-right corner of the screen. It is used to determine the computer performance of a given moment in gameplay: higher FPS means smoother animations.

In this video I show an early demo of Crashman (or 'Clashman') in both his original stage and the teleport stage. I am using a gamepad controller to control Megaman and the keyboard to control Crashman. Current features: * graphics,sound,music are identical to original game (recorded from a ROM) * gameplay is as accurate to the original game as possible * added ability to control bosses (multiplayer) * compatible with gamepads/joysticks (including converted NES controllers) There are no major problems, its completely playable and fun already. After seeing off Adon you arrive at the first level of the game. The Port of Adia. Some of you may still be trying to beat the game with cheats even after a decade. Let me give you some advice: You won't be able to beat the game with cheats; the only real useful cheats are the infinite lives, invincibility, all weapons, infinite ammo and all special objects. The others are interesting as they allow seeing the game as if it was still being developed but not exactly useful. Anyway even if you don't die, run out of ammo and have all the necessary items in your inventory you still have to deal with the exploration part and that will make any cheat on any game worthless(Unless you have a strategy guide). I suggest that you only used the cheats to enjoy the game more instead of trying to beat them with it. Rather ironic that these were the first true shooter of their time would be so complicated, maybe it was the fact that we didn't have two joysticks back then, it seems as the graphics and controls get better the games get easier. It should have been backward, ease us in and then pour the harder challenges later but we were forced to toughen up early on. The F-35 has already seen plenty of field time in the US, with more than 500 flights already in 2012, and it's set to make its way to the UK armed forces next week and the Netherlands later this year, but while the aircraft is quite familiar to the pilots tasked with flying it, the public hasn't had an opportunity to experience Lockheed's latest airborne warrior. We flew a simulated mission within a grounded duplicate of the flyable F-35 cockpit, and the capabilities and improvements are quite clear -- you definitely don't want to encounter an F-35 from a previous-generation aircraft. The dual 8 x 10-inch touch-enabled displays combine to give you 8 x 20 inches of real estate, with dedicated modules for the weapons systems, targeting, and navigation easily accessible -- you can also move them to different panels depending on your current objective. A pair of joysticks at the left and right side provide direct access, letting you move a cursor to track enemy crafts or ground-based targets as well, and a very slick heads-up-display mounted in the helmet provides infrared mapping and instrument readouts. Overall, it seems to be an incredibly powerful system. I bought some new replacement buttons and joysticks (Happ joysticks) for my Street Fighter II cab, which is a Dynamo HS-5. This is just the unboxing and then a fast forward view of the installation of one side. Overall it was very easy to get everything installed, just a little time consuming, but fun! The joystick hub and the buttons all use the same type of switches. There are three prongs sticking out of each switch. One is for ground, and the other two are used for how you want the switch to activate: when the button is pressed, or when the button is released. So, for the most part, I'm just unscrewing the pieces one or two at a time and then putting the replacements in, and then attaching the two wires to each switch. I had an old Meyers plow and decided to build a simple plow attachment for my Bobcat skid-steer. I used the pallet fork frame as the basis to the attachment. The pallet forks themselves can be re-installed in a couple minutes by removing the plow and bracket. I made the bracket assembly easily removable from the pallet fork frame by sliding 1" square barstock through one side of the pallet fork frame, through the 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangle tubing, and out the other side of the pallet fork frame. The chain is easily removed from the pallet fork frame using the 2000#carabiner.The hydraulic lines are easily disconnected using the quick attach couplers to the auxillary hydraulics on the arms of the machine. The lift movement is controlled by lifting the arms on the machine. The angle cylinders are activated using the switch on the joysticks. I designed it to be a free floating plow. Operation is easy, you simply let the plow down and once you have slack in the chain it is free floating. The red 5/8"pins allow the A-Frame to pivot on the bracket.Using a traditional bucket to clear snow with this machine is not only less efficient, but causes tremendous down pressure, and can easily scratch pavement. The plow moves very quickly, especially when you have the throttle up. This particular machines hydraulic pump can produce 3500psi with a 13gpm flow rate at full throttle, far more than a standard Meyers pump on a truck. An interactive mash-up of 20 songs from Frank Sinatra to Mims. This video depicts the MAX/MSP interface controlling the mix, a clip of me mixing it with a controller, and the album art for the songs being sampled at any given time. Created with Pro Tools, Max/MSP, and a USB controller, the idea was to create a composition that could be remixed on the fly. First, beat matching, chopping, and composition were done over the course of a month in Pro Tools. All 16 tracks were soloed and exported from Pro Tools, and arranged in a custom interface that allows groups of tracks to be selected with the DPAD on the controller. The boxes to the right of the video show the effects that can be applied, and the current effect status. Well here is the footage that I took last week of the new Superior Pak Raptors. They are far superior to the previous Superior Pak models. Sita have decided to go back to a 2 truck system for the garbage and recycling as its faster than the Single Pass trucks and more efficient. There is a photo of one of the Single Pass trucks at the begining. In the next few months, 107 of these new trucks will be driving around Brisbane. This is the largest truck order ever in Australia from one council! They have electronic controls, better joysticks, and a canbus style computer self diagnostic system. When I took these videos the trucks had only been in service so they were brand new! I talked to the new driver and he's cool with me filming and is also a nice driver too! I talked to him and asked him how he liked the new trucks. He said that they were good, just a little slow. There is no signage on these trucks as they were due in July to be put into service, however there were problems with the roadworthiness of the current fleet and some of the trucks had to be taken of the road and fixed, they are now roadworthy and are being put them back into service. These trucks are new 29m Superior Pak Raptors. Sita won (It was renewed) the contract to collect Brisbane's waste for a further 8 years from July 2010, to July 2018, so the new contract will come in on July along with a new garden waste service offered by the council. (c) 2011 by AnalogAudio1 I played the YAMAHA SY22 without any additional effects or eq. The Yamaha SY22 came out 1990. It is an interesting vector synthesizer. Other vector synths are the Sequential Circuits Prophet VS and the Korg Wavestation - but the SY22 was the most affordable of its kind. Although instruments like Roland D-50 and Kawai K-1 have joysticks to mix waveforms, they are not vector synths. A real vector synth can reproduce the vector moves in a sound program. Rumors say that some ideas from the developer team of Sequential were implemented, since they worked for YAMAHA for a short period of time. The SY22 is a quite simple vector synthesizer - also simple to use and to program. The SY22 has no filters at all. Interestingly, 4 elements can built a sound, 2 FM (4-op frequency modulation) and 2 AWM (sample playback). It also has a built in effect processor for reverb and delay. You can not tweak the effects except intensity. It's much more easier to program sounds on the SY22 than on a Korg Wavestation. The programming on a Korg WS is a nightmare, because you have to handle with the 34 patches / 50 performances problem. Also you can't program vector moves in realtime - like on the SY22. Of course, a Wavestation sounds "bigger" in the end, but the SY22 sounds not bad, either. In contrary, the SY22 has something special to me. Although it has no filters, you can think of it as a good (4 operator) FM synth which can provide in a single sound prgramm 2x DX11 and ...

Demo of Quake 4 using the VR920 HMD and Wireless Xbox 360 Receiver/Controller. Thanks for your interest! The video I posted shows use of the VR920 HMD for head tracking in Quake 4 on PC. (Not Xbox 360) The HMD is connected and configured with my Alienware Aurora m9700 (laptop). I connect the PC to the TV with a DVI to HDMI cable. (So everyone can watch) I connect the PC audio with a digital audio cable to a surround sound receiver. I use the Wireless Xbox 360 Receiver/Controller (Requires 1 USB port on PC). I sync the Xbox 360 controller to the Receiver and run JoyToKey. I use a keyboard emulator for joysticks called JoyToKey to assign keyboard keys to the any button on the controller I wish. I can also use the analog joysticks to move or look (Use look only to turn around when the HMD cord runs out). I connect and calibrate the HMD with the Vuzix iWear software. (Requires 1 USB port and VGA port on PC) I install Quake 4. I add the files provided by Vuzix required to enable the HMD into the Quake 4 install directory. I add Quake 4 to enabled titles list with the iWear monitor. I configure my primary display to the VR920 and clone to the TV. I start Quake 4. (requires one time configure of game controls to JoyToKey profile) Enable VR headtracking or 3D. (I found with 3D enabled video fps is lower) VR AT IT'S BEST SO FAR!!! I also was able to get the same setup to work with Doom 3 and Microsoft Flight Simulator X!!! Experience the New Virtual Reality with the VR920 Video ...

Found a freaking awesome local video arcade, where all games are 25 cents to play. Literally a hole-in-a-wall at the local flea market, filled with the smell of saw dust, popcorn and drinks of all kinds. Yes, I am going to be spending far too much time here. I didn't get to show Turbo Outrun (full size sit-down cabinet with moving seat force feedback!) or Mortal Kombat 2 machines, they were in another stall packed away behind some old records. Looks like several of the games are in various states of disrepair (broken joysticks, shoddy switches, missing coin slots, CRT problems) but most of them are playable with minor issues. Thor is being used by the computer because I don't know all of his moves off the top of my head. Oh well! For a controller I chose to use my trusted Dead Or Alive 4 Arcade Stick to play this match. It was either that, the keyboard or my 360 controller, since I am more used to the arcade joysticks button layout I figure I'd stick with the arcade style joystick. A most unusual 2 wheel machine. Designed by my cousin for use in parades. It has 3 solar panels to trickle charge 6- 6 volt golf cart batteries. They run a 3 horsepower electric DC motor that in turn drives a hydraulic pump. Using two joysticks to control oil flow to each wheel just like a zero turn lawn mower. Using a John Deere lawn mower hood tops out this neat little buggy. Will be in Florida in February at the Flywheelers Antique Tractor Show. See you there. Images from documentaries about hubble. Sorry for the clipping. Very sadly the power of this monster blasted my levels. I onced rented an Hartmann Neuron for a try and did this Jam with it. Just a sound to have an idea of what its about. Tho the sound I found astounding, I still seem to find it like a PC computer in a arty hardware. THe fan was so iritating too.. And the fact that it didnt seem to have a sound "motor, architecture" of its own, relying mainly on samples of other machines. Some of the samples where already evolving sounds so I was dispapointed that the evolving sound was not part of the sound manipulation capability. Apart from that, the joysticks gave total access to filters and sound manipulations unheard of before.. like manipulating sound particules wich i found so magical. The on board effect's processor is probably the best found on a synthetiser being on the lever of a Lexicon PCM series with its own color, realy astounding reverbes and delays..
