Joysticks

Well here is the footage that I took last week of the new Superior Pak Raptors. They are far superior to the previous Superior Pak models. The truck was getting full, thats why the MJ in the other video was helping out, there is a bit of manual packing as well towards the end of the video. They have electronic controls, better joysticks, and a canbus style computer self diagnostic system. When I took these videos the trucks had only been in service so they were brand new! I talked to the new driver and he's cool with me filming and is also a nice driver too! I talked to him and asked him how he liked the new trucks. He said that they were good, just a little slow. There is no signage on these trucks as they were due in July to be put into service, however there were problems with the roadworthiness of the current fleet and some of the trucks had to be taken of the road and fixed, they are now roadworthy and are being put them back into service. These trucks are new 29m Superior Pak Raptors. Sita won (It was renewed) the contract to collect Brisbane's waste for a further 8 years from July 2010, to July 2018, so the new contract will come in on July along with a new garden waste service offered by the council. Anyway there is no signage as the trucks were put into service 4 months before they were meant to, so the signage should be going on soon. 24 new trucks were put into service immediately on the 29/3/2010 so that the garbage collections would not be interrupted while ...
