Joysticks

Tutorial on how to use a standard Xbox 360 controller to navigate in the virtual world of Second Life. A joystick or even Spacenavigator alternative. Made at the SL5B 5th birthday event featuring a giant birthday cake. Values in the joystick settings are: X Axis Mapping: 0 Y Axis Mapping: 2 Z Axis Mapping: 1 Pitch Mapping: 4 Yaw Mapping: 3 Roll Mapping: -1 (=off) Zoom Mapping: -1 (=off) Note that I have enabled "Auto Leveling" So if I release the controls the view automatically centers horizontally. For even more camera freedom try turning this option off. I had the idea while playing GTA IV piloting a helicopter which really is quite similar to the way I set up the "Joystick Fly Cam" in this video.
